INGECAL validates its CO2 emissions for another year

The “Acords Voluntaris” Program for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, was launched in 2010, through the Catalan Office of Climate Change. This program offers tools, support and recognition to those organizations that have facilities and/or operations in Catalonia and that voluntarily want to establish a commitment to reduce their GHG emissions.

Ingecal has been a member of the Acords Voluntaris program since 2010, and since then we have reduced our emissions by 78%. This has been our evolution throughout these 11 years of adhesion:

In Ingecal we have carried out a series of measures that have helped us to reduce the main emissions derived from our work activity:

• Due to the change of office, we no longer have a natural gas air conditioning boiler and it is currently electric, therefore these emissions are no longer calculated.
• We have continued to promote teleworking and videoconferencing, reducing the number of trips to the client or to the office.
• We have reduced paper consumption. Course documentation is sent digitally, and we avoid printing as much as possible….
• The use of plastic has been greatly reduced. We avoid using plastic cups, plates, cutlery… and also single-use plastics. We have a fountain in our office and glass bottles for our staff.

In data, we have reduced more than 76% of emissions compared to 2019.
